______

This course will demonstrate that Dentists are Major Influencers of the Human Body and can directly influence and improve Total Human Movement!

You will discover that there is a direct relationship between the body and the teeth and although many dentists appreciate this connection, most lack clarity and adequate understanding of the body-occlusal relationship and are not trained on successful protocols and applications that can powerfully impact patient outcomes and dental practice offerings.

This course will provide illumination on the literature that shows not only that cranial bones move and that cranial strain patterns exist, but that these patterns can be key players in human movement dysfunction or improved human movement and function.

We will dive into how the position of the body directly affects the contacting surfaces of the teeth.  We will demonstrate how occlusal contact can "drive" and improve the position of the body. You will see live presentations and patient cases where appropriate changes to occlusion alter and positively affect body patterns.

Innovative Protocols designed to unlock restricted cranial strains will be revealed and explained during live demonstrations. You will see how cranial strains and occlusion can limit normal function & mobility and how proven interdisciplinary techniques and protocols, when applied to the bite and the body almost immediately improves elements of human function

Together, we will discuss the increased demand, indeed a worldwide movement, toward interdisciplinary care and how movement specialists and Dentists need one another to successfully manage an array of issues which include TMD, malocclusion, headaches, cranial-facial strain, torticolus, neck and shoulder strain, as well as sleep apnea and snoring, limited airway, airflow and chronic pain related to body strain and dysfunction.

This two-and-a-half day intimate hands-on workshop (with mentoring)  is designed to provide the clinical foundation for successful partnering between body-minded dentists and dental-minded body specialists.

Didactic information will cover the psychomotor skills associated with the evaluative process and the rationale behind each diagnostic test and application protocol.

Time will be spent with sample patients on exam tables and in dental chairs providing each attendee a hands-on opportunity to practice and improve diagnostic and application techniques.

Following the course, you can expect to look at patients through new "lenses" in the office as well as have the tools to offer some level of guidance and clarity around options and actions as solutions- basically, this course changes how you see the body and the bite forever.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to use CBCT and bite scans in conjunction with hands-on clinical testing to assist you in  accomplishing your patient goals of treatment. Protocols including oral appliance prescription and application as well as an introduction to how vision affects bite

will be an  integral part of the workshop learning  process.

This course is the must-have foundational first-step to mastery of this groundbreaking approach and is required in order to attend other AIA advanced trainings and mastermind events.

We Welcome You to the AIA Community of Professionals and to this heretofore little-understood whole body approach to human physical functional care through multiple disciplines - be prepared to see profound outcomes in the lives of your patients

We look forward to learning about you, collaborating with you, and

being part of your educational development and experience.
