About the Course

The Gait & Grounding Foundations Course is Applied Integration Academy’s flagship biomechanics course offering a groundbreaking introduction to analyzing human movement through an interdisciplinary, whole-body approach, and exploration of basic human movement. This is not a course on walking mechanics alone, but an examination of gait as a continuous, whole-body process that organizes posture, stability, and function—even at rest.

Through an interdisciplinary framework, participants will study how the body manages ground interaction, force transfer, and asymmetry as inherent features of human movement. The course emphasizes recognizing patterned movement behaviors and understanding how gait and grounding influence global biomechanics across diverse clinical presentations.

Designed as an advanced approach to fundamental principles, this two-day course establishes a shared language for observing, assessing, and reasoning through movement, and  examines a wide range of movement patterns and provides treatment strategies to address the spectrum of possibilities.

The Foundations course provides the conceptual framework upon which…
